6th REGIONAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING ON QUATERNARY GEOLOGY - ODGOĐEN!

Odlukom većine na video-sastanku Organizacijskog odbora održanom 10. lipnja 6. Regionalni znanstveni skup o geologiji kvartara održat će se 27.-30. rujna 2021. godine. Razmotrene su različite opcije, no odgoda za godinu dana u sadašnjim okolnostima bila je najoptimalnija.

6th REGIONAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING ON QUATERNARY GEOLOGY: Seas, Leakes and Rivers

7. - 10. listopada 2020, Ljubljana, Slovenija

The meeting is dedicated to researchers working on Quaternary geology, geomorphology, stratigraphy and related subjects. The meeting is primarily intended as an opportunity to bring together researchers working in the Adriatic, Alpine, Dinaric and Pannonian regions, however, participants more involved in other regions are also warmly welcome. The theme of the meeting “Seas, Lakes and Rivers” will be the focus of keynote lectures and the field excursion. Participants are kindly encouraged to present their work related to the theme of the meeting or other Quaternary topics.

EX-AQUA is a project supported by the INQUA Commission on Terrestrial Processes, Deposits, and History (TERPRO) and HEX (INQUA Focus Area on Palaeohydrology and fluvial archives – extreme and critical events). This scientific project aims at creating a network of researchers of different disciplines to work together for improving the knowledge on the magnitude, recurrence time and other characteristics of the palaeohydrological extreme events (floods and droughts). EX-AQUA considers the whole Quaternary, but with special interest in the last millennia, for extending the useful records in the assessment of present and future extreme events.

This Workshop is supported by the Croatian INQUA Committee.

Slijedeći INQUA kongres u Rimu 2023. godine

Italija se po drugi puta kandidirala za organizaciju INQUA kongresa i ove godine na kongresu u Dublin-u dobila većinski broj glasova.

In memoriam

Profesor dr.sc. Andrija Bognar, dugogodišnji član INQUA-e i jedan od osnivača Nacionalnog odbora INQUA preminuo je u petak 26. travnja 2019. godine.

Izborna skupština i obilježavanje 20 godina rada i djelovanja Odbora INQUA

U velikoj dvorani Akademijine knjižnice održat će se u petak 15. ožujka Izborna skupština Odbora INQUA i prigodno obilježavanje 20. obljetnice Odbora. Program uskoro.
